About Us

CommerceCM was developed by ideaLEVER Solutions Inc., a web and eCommerce developer with offices in British Columbia, Canada.

ideaLEVER was started in 1995 as a general web development company. Early clients included private businesses and government departments in the first great Internet landrush.

By 1998 ideaLEVER was riding the rising tide of the dotcom boom developing large eCommerce and related custom web based applications. ideaLEVER became the first company in Canada with a commercial license for Microsoft Site Server Commerce Edition. This exposed ideaLEVER to the benefits of being an eCommerce Application Service Provider (ASP, now known as SaaS) and brought clients from across the country as varied as Sport Mart, Roger's Video, and the Toronto Police Department. 

The dark days of 2001 saw ideaLEVER retrench, but strong management, a solid reputation, and great customer service helped sustain the business through the corporate bloodbath that wiped out many less fortunate companies.

In the face of this industry upheaval, ideaLEVER began developing our own CMS in 2001 and launched SiteCM, a SaaS CMS in 2002.

In 2003, we began to work on our own SaaS eCommerce platform to meet the growing needs of Robeez Footwear and other clients who had been using MS Site Server. Robeez needed a platform that could support their rapid growth and expansion into Europe and Australia. CommerceCM delivered eventually handling more than 1000 transactions a day in 7 currencies, processed through 3 different payment gateways in 5 languages.

In 2005, CommerceCM was released to the public and ideaLEVER refocused as a SaaS software company. We continue to develop our expertise and refine the system into the leading multi-currency and multi-lingual eCommerce platform for small to medium enterprises.

In 2010 we enabled our first customer with a Facebook store powered by CommerceCM.
